Marin Symphony May 6 & 8: I'm Singing ♫♪

I'm singing with the Marin Symphony Orchestra Chorus on May 6 & 8 (Sunday at 3pm, Tuesday at 7:30pm).  It's over a month away, but tickets are selling rapidly--YAY! I can get discounted tickets ($20, $35, or $50) but you must contact me soonest.
I will put in an order on Monday night at my rehearsal, to get best possible seats. I can place other orders at succeeding Monday rehearsals, but seating will not be as good--if it is still available.
ellenjanesmusic [at] gmail to respond
This will be a stunning concert, with the World Premiere of the Marin Symphony-commissioned work by Ron Kapilow: Golden Gate Opus, aka "Chrysopylae", commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge.  We rehearsed with the composer last week and were inspired to new heights!  We'll also perform the chorale Ode to Joy as part of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony --always uplifting to sing and to experience.

There are informative and entertaining pre-concert conversations one hour prior to each performance.  And if you attend on Tuesday evening, there is a free post-concert Wrap Party at the adjacent Embassy Suites.
I hope you will support the Marin Symphony and ME and attend!    ♫♪

Music Fun Week of March 27

PLEASE READ!
1)  MY NEW WEBSITE!!  Thanks to major help from my daughter Laura, you can now visit me at www.ellenjanesmusic.com.  Henceforward, I will send a reminder email each week to direct you there.  For now it will be same format as what's listed here.  I'll also be requesting business ads in the near future, to generate support for the 15-20 hours a week I spend on this ...
2)  THANK YOU to so many for your outpouring of votes for Laura's design.  The other contender remained at 139 all day, while Laura reached 166 by 7pm. But from 7 to 9pm (when the contest closed) "Jessica" managed to double her votes, and ended up with 283 votes to Laura's 175.  WOW! wonder how she did that!?  I hope a lot of you got to see what "Jessica" made ...  I'll leave it at that.  It's ALL about getting out the vote in these kinds of contests--so thanks again for participating!

3)  My upcoming Marin Symphony Concerts on May 6 & 8:  they are selling out much more rapidly than we anticipated. Please contact me if you will purchase discounted tickets from me (as low as $20).

Last weekend in recap: FOREVERLAND at George's was brilliant beyond belief, and as expected Dan Brown and Cheap Therapy provided high-octane fun at Presidio Yacht Club. I have to lament it's becoming more and more difficult to select where I head each time I'm out.  So many amazing musician friends performing at different venues on the same evenings ...  Once again, this weekend is a challenge: 7th Sons or Mighty GrooveRevolver or Olive & the Dirty Martinis? Or someone else? Too many choices? What a luxury!  I will try to make it to Fairfax on Sunday to help Cathey Cotten celebrate her birthday!  Counting my blessings ...
