UPDATES in RED (scroll down & find 'em)
… and music definitely
can help us move!
The merriment
continues! Very happy to see that the Hopmonk in Novato is off to an
auspicious beginning! Carlos & I showed up on Wednesday evening for the Courtney Janes—thanks, Dennis &
Ben--morphing into Americana Graffiti
with the addition of Ruthie on drums (awesome!) and Mark on bass.
Congratulations and thank you, Dean
Biersch, for bringing a bright light to Novato!
Thanksgiving was
joyfully spent with Carlos’s extended family in Oakland.
On Friday we
managed to catch Johnny Z & TRENZ; and on Saturday we attended a contender for the “party of the year” at Sunnbolt Studios, with Doc Kraft and his Merry Men. This was
an Aloha Luau theme party, as well as celebration of Larry Paul’s birthday, and the joint was jumpin’! Videotaped for
later viewing on Cable channels 26 & 27:
Dec. 15, 22 & 29 at 12:30 am—that would be late Friday night, early
Sat. morning. We also enjoyed Moonalice
at Sweetwater on Sunday afternoon, and
picked up another poster for the collection (LOL).
This week’s music for Carlos and me:
I’m performing with the Marin
Symphony Chamber Chorus at St.
Raphael’s on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon! Hope some of you will come to this beautiful “Candlelight
Concert” to hear music of the season, by composers such as Randall Thompson,
John Rutter, Stephen Paulus, Gustav Holst, and more, as well as some audience
sing-along carols.
Before that, heading to Terrapin
Crossroads on Wed. night, and TREK WINERY on Thursday eve for
some Herb Marshall Group jazz. Not yet sure what dancing plans are in store
for the weekend—I’ll have to check my list!
