PRACTICE KINDNESS.
I’ll be away for a
couple of weeks helping my brother in Philadelphia. Though I’ve got my hands on
an iPad mini—I’m still unable to make it work with blogger. And Jay has no
internet or wireless, and I probably won’t have time anyway. But if I can put out a mini-calendar, I will
try.
Meanwhile, if I do not
produce a current calendar, you can always go to my website and click on any of
the venues I list to see what’s up
on their website. Yep-- It’s a lot of
work!
Hooray for The 7th Sons, and some
lively rock & roll at the Presidio Yacht Club last Friday night! There was a wedding party in attendance, a
bunch of 30-somethings, and they really got off on the oldies--almost kept up
with us.
Hugh Masekela at
Marin Center on Saturday nite – he is phenomenal! I was concerned about attending a seated
concert, but needn’t have worried. This
74-year old lifted the audience to our feet on several occasions, so I got to
wiggle & shake—enough so that I didn’t have to go out dancing afterward. Another role model: hope I can be as active
when I reach that age!
The coughing is
modified by some allergy pills, but still taking it a bit easy to gather my
strength for my coming trip—which means I’m still not going out 3 or 4 or 5 nights a
week!
However, for the
weekend Carlos & I can’t miss the Soul Satellites
at Peri’s on Friday, and hope to
catch some tunes at Sunnbolt before
we head to Fairfax; Matt Jaffe’s at
the Hopmonk, The 7th Sons at the Cruising
Club, Zepparella at Sweetwater—plenty of fun to be had.
On Saturday we hope
for some Evil Fun with Cathey Cotton
at 19 Broadway. There’s also Pete Escovedo at George’s; Zydeco Flames at the Nicasio Barn Dance; Revolver at Rancho; Mari Mack at Fenix; and a whole slew of other great
acts to check out below.
Sunday morning, if we
didn’t plan on attending Unity,
would sure head over to Sweetwater
for James Moseley Trio for Sunday
brunch.
Wishing good Health
& Happiness for y’all! ♫♪
Listen to the Music,
and Dance (like nobody's watching)!! ♫
And remember to TIP
our wonderful and talented MUSICIANS!
Also please support all the gracious venues that support MUSIC.
