Music Fun Week of April 24

Several UPDATES in RED for Fri., Sat., Sun. -- Please scroll down to find them!
(I added more events yesterday, and even more today Friday.)
Coming up:  the last day of April 2012!  Here comes May, already ...
No Skink Report today …
And my nightingale might have found his sweetie …

This past weekend, the JAMES MOSELEY BAND at Seahorse once again blew it out of the water and made Magic!  Thank you James, Jack, Carrie, Steve, Marina, Casey, John, and all my awesome Dancing Friends!  What a gorgeous balmy night in Sausalito!  And on Sunday, Taste & Twirl with Cynthia Glinka and Andoni was a perfect wrap for the weekend.  The dance floor at IDESST Hall is primo—hope to dance it again!
Once again this week, there’s a wealth of musical entertainment from which to choose … my best bet on Sat. is the Doc at PYC (with Johnny Z on lead guitar for the evening!)

The Tiburon Film Festival began on April 19 and continues through April 27. If you want to know more, click here:  Tiburon Film Festival.

Weekend UPDATE Fri. April 20

This website thing is a work-in-progress -- and I'd love to get your comments and constructive suggestions.
The tax man was doing a mind-control thing on me through Tuesday, so I missed several events.

added a dozen events yesterday (in red) for Thursday and the weekend, but waited til today to let you know, to see by my dashboard how many clicks I'm getting without emailing y'all.  This means this (Thesday) is a very long post.  Should I just do a separate post on Friday with Updates, knowing that you'll scroll down to the Tuesday post to see the complete list ... ?  Hmmmm...
And I'm not happy that my formatting doesn't stick, as gremlins are inserting extra spaces where I am not.  Could be worse!

Also, you may want to check out the VIDEO page, which has many of the fun videos I've sent over the past year--many are worth a second look for a smile-break. I also have a backed-up list of videos to post.

I know I'll see a lot of you at James M's dance party at the Seahorse Saturday nite, and with Cynthia & Andoni for Taste & Twirl on Sunday.  The Earth Day festivities at the Civic Center looks to be pretty cool (or hot!). Lots of Magic in the air, my Friends!

So have a HAPPY EARTH DAY--do something earthy -- and at the very least enjoy some music and move your body!  Soul-food, good for you.

Enjoying the SUNSHINE,
Ellen ♫♪

Music Fun Week of April 17

Quite a few Weekend UPDATES in RED below, in calendar section--scroll down. (posted Thursday 4/19)
I  think I've got myself a nightingale!  He's outside my window every night at 1am.  Sure sings pretty!  ♫♪ ♫♪
Another blue-tailed SKINK made his appearance on my front porch yesterday!!  Lucky, lucky, lucky me.
I know he’s a different one because his tail is a lighter shade of blue. Juveniles have the brightest blue tails (which can detach if caught by a predator, then re-generate--like other lizards).

And for the past two nights, I’ve stepped outside to hear birdsong at midnight or 1am. ♫♪ ♫♪  There is a happy-go-lucky birdie (sounds like a mockingbird) out there singing his heart out!  Perhaps he's in love ...

On another note ♫♪, Dan Brown, bay area Vocalist and Entertainer Extraordinaire (Full Steem, Cheap Therapy), has stepped back into the health and wellness field as a professional private trainer… to coach, consult, evaluate and prescribe fitness/wellness/lifestyle changes. One-time or ongoing, indoor or outdoor, home or gym; state of art facility in Novato or Mill Valley available for only price of training. Relevant, adaptive, challenging and Fun.  Contact Dan at 707-304-4272 or Justfit@sonic.net

The past week was joy-filled, with the Corte Madera Ray Simpson Big Band, Zydeco Flames at Eagles Hall in Alameda, and THE TICKETS BAND at PYC—for one of their best parties yet!
This weekend, for certain (in addition to what I don’t know at this moment):  The JAMES MOSELEY BAND at on Seahorse Sat., and on Sunday, Taste & Twirl with Cynthia Glinka and Andoni.  Cynthia says “if you can walk you can dance”, and will have some instruction—but this dance is especially for experienced dancers.  They give the dance floor at IDESST Hall a rave review!  See links below.

If you or someone you know is looking for a rental in a beautiful home, friend Sabina is looking for a roommate: 2 bedrooms & private bath in her gorgeous 4 BR home at “Marin Lagoon” in San Rafael, available May 1.  Check out her ad: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/roo/2933816976.html
If you haven’t already, please bookmark my website, and check back regularly:  www.ellenjanesmusic.com

Apologies if I’ve not listed something I should have—still have to make copies and get to post office for IRS!  Run, Ellen, Run!

And remember to TIP our wonderful and talented MUSICIANS!  Also please support all the gracious venues that support MUSIC.
Listen to the Music, and Dance (like nobody's watching)!! ♫♪♫
