UPDATES (since Tuesday) in
RED
ENTHUSIASM is a wonderful thing to cultivate in
your garden.
Shoutouts
for all the music we appreciated this past week: The Ray Simpson
Big Band, Dennis Haneda and cast at the Hopmonk
Open Mic, The DJ Dance Party at Hopmonk Friday
night; Lost Dog Found and Key Lime Pie (again
at Hopmonk--on Saturday) kept me on my feet dancing all night--but that's
probably what you expect ... We had a lovely Valentine's Day,
a great crab feed; attended Unity; visited friends; and spent a
lazy happy Presidents' Day holiday! Hoping you found much JOY as well.
Belated BIRTHDAY
WISHES to Terry G and Rob S--missed
'em last week!
Coming up this week? Open Mic, Pro Jam with The Blues Defenders & The Revivalists, and I’m
determined to get to Afrofunk Experience -- all at our local Hopmonk Novato. My head is
swimming when I look at all these listings … There’s James Moseley at Rickey’s
& Seahorse (early show), Shana Morrison & Caledonia at
Sweetwater, Bollywood Show & Drew Youngs at the Record Plant, Dueling Pianos
at George’s, James Henry at 142 Throck, The
Tickets Band in Berkeley, Carlos
Reyes, Lorin Rowan all over the
place—and that’s just for starters. I’m
missing George’s—perhaps we can be
there Saturday night for Stompy Jones
& Denise Perrier. Who knows
where fair winds will blow us!

musical delights below J ♫♪♫♪
