Music Fun Week of September 25

UPDATES in RED [There are definitely some UPDATES, after my Tuesday post]

Guess what? I did NOT do a lot of dancing this past week/weekend … oh, my!  But it was fulfilling nonetheless. We all have access to this wonderful flow of life, and we can grab ahold of that energy and use it to our best purposes.  I hope you all enjoyed the Equinox--and had a sublime summer full of excellent experiences, that will flow into a frolicsome fall!

More TREK WINERY news:  Andy & Liz now plan to be open until 10pm on Friday & Saturdays to accommodate the happy people coming by.  Open til 7pm Sunday, and Tuesday (last one this week as far as I know), Wednesday and Thursday.  It’s a work in progress.  Also, you can now order food while at Trek from Chianti Cucina, Grazie, or Finnegans, and it will be delivered and plated for you right there at Trek. 1026 Machin Ave. Novato.  While at TREK, enjoy the wonderful paintings of George Sumner.

This is Carlos’s Birthday Week, and there’re plenty of celebrations in store.  I see he has a lot of birthday buddies (Paulino, Connie, Dennis R—and within a few days Trish, Eddie N, Sylvia, and Rich A!).  Makes me think there was a lot of celebrating on all those past New Year’s Eves!
[My apologies to friends with Monday birthdays:  if I don’t know you well, I get my Facebook birthday list, which begins with Monday-- on Saturdays—already past in my posted calendar.]

I’d like to try the Songbook Night at Sweetwater this Tuesday; and on Wednesday the Iron Springs Pub celebration with Jonathan Korty, Pete Sears, Barry Sless and Inkx Herman is worth the effort to get out there to Fairfax. And there’s also Divino and 44 Bungalow for some James Moseley R&B this week--as well as his events in Alameda and SF on Sat. & Sun. that I'll get on here soon …
REVOLVER on Fri., and THE TICKETS BAND on Sat.—both at the Presidio Y.C.—are calling.  And Sunday is a super-duper day for a birthday celebration, starting at the Mill Valley Block Party, and continuing into the evening at 19 Broadway with Eddie Neon & Pals, then Cathey Cotton & Elliott for some Evil goings-on …  Who knows how it all will “flow” …

I wish you all a very happy week of musical delights--again!

Please take a look at all the listings and details that follow♫♪♫♪

Music Fun Week of September 18

UPDATES in RED
Hello Fellow Travelers!  I’d like to thank all the friends and music-makers (especially Carlos) who enriched my week.  On Wednesday we had our once-a-month treat with the Ray Simpson Big Band in Corte Madera.  Friday night we set out for Alameda for an energetic double bill with Zydeco Flames, and Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums.  Rollin’ out the fun!  Sat. afternoon found us at the Marin Humane Society for Woofstock with Petty Theft—those boys sure do get the crowd (including lots of pups) going. I believe 55 cats & dogs found homes through this event!  Then on Saturday evening, on to Max’s, where Cathey Cotten, along with her Evil Plan, really knows how to make a party. She’ll be puttin’ Max’s on the map. Lots of you fun dancers showed up to party too!
Sunday we didn’t make it out of the house until almost 4—managed to miss the Mill Valley Art Festival L but caught a mind-bending show by Moonalice at Sweetwater!  Thank you ALL for making the music, feeling the music, making wonderful things happen …

Don’t forget to stop by TREK WINERY to enjoy the great wine and the ambiance at this fabulous venue!  Open Tuesday through Sunday between 11am & 7pm, 1026 Machin Ave. Novato.  While at TREK you can also enjoy the magical paintings of George Sumner.

This coming week remains a puzzle for me at this hour.  Really? Did I say that? Though I did post my list earlier this evening, it’s now past 2am.  I’ll have to look at ellenjanesmusic come daylight!

I wish you all a very happy week of musical delights--again!
