I think I've got myself a nightingale! He's outside my window every night at 1am. Sure sings pretty! ♪ ♫♪♪ ♫♪
Another blue-tailed
SKINK made his appearance on my front porch yesterday!! Lucky, lucky, lucky me.
I know he’s a different one because his tail is a lighter shade
of blue. Juveniles have the brightest blue tails (which can detach if caught by
a predator, then re-generate--like other lizards).
And for the past two
nights, I’ve stepped outside to hear birdsong
at midnight or 1am. ♫♪ ♫♪ There is a happy-go-lucky birdie (sounds like a mockingbird) out there singing his heart out! Perhaps he's in love ...
