Music Fun Week of June 5

Sweet, Sweet Strawberry Moon – wasn’t that a pleasure!?
UPDATES (since Tuesday) in RED

If you’ll be at the Novato Art Wine Festival this weekend, be sure to stop by the TREK WINERY booth at 5th & Grant. Trek Winery is soon to open in downtown NovatoIf you’re there on Saturday, stop by between noon & 3 and you’ll see Carlos smiling and pouring.  He’ll be there on Sunday as well, not sure what time …

I forgot to mention that Laura & I attended The Cult of Beauty: The Victorian Avant-Garde 1860–1900 exhibit at the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco week before last. It was so fabulous that I’m going again with Carlos this Thursday. The exhibit runs only through June 17—please treat yourself and go if you can!  Read Laura’s blog for her comments on the exhibit (as well as her ongoing fashion show):  http://lilacsandlace.blogspot.com/2012/05/victorian-aesthetic.html

The Magic continues.  This past weekend began with Tommy A and the Four Teardrops at PYC on Thurs. nite; the opening of the Northgate music series featuring LFX, a hot Latin/pop Bay Area band.  We saw Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums at the Home Show—but where were you?  And Johnny Z and TRENZ had their best show yet at the Seahorse.

Coming up:  the kickoff of the Pacheco Plaza summer series, with COLE TATE aka Uncle Buffett. Will I make it to Alameda for Zydeco Flames??  And both the Novato ART WINE MUSIC and the Fairfax Festivals beckon for Sat. & Sun.  I’m especially keen to hear Danny Click again after hearing him wail last Monday on the Green.
