UPDATES in RED
How do I begin to express my gratitude for the Musical JOY that infused
this long holiday weekend? I dunno, but at least a few shout-outs are in order.
Beginning on Thursday, Carlos & I grooved with James
Moseley R&B at Nourish with
Jack, Carrie & Allen; on Friday my pals the Zydeco Flames laid it down in Alameda; Saturday went out to Papa’s Taverna for our friends The Blues Burners, then drove down to George’s and got lucky with Danny Click and the Hell Yeahs! makin’
magic. A great deal of rockin’ with Petty Theft on Sunday; and Marin City
on Monday for John Lee Hooker Jr., Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic, and Pete Escovedo! Yes, I’m a little tired ... but know I'll boogie again!
This week I’d like to make it to Presidio Yacht Club on Thursday for Eddie Neon Band— miss you, Eddie! Should I camp out at PYC for The Tickets Band on Fri. nite? And then
Doc Kraft shows up on Saturday! Also Saturday, The Tickets Band are stickin’ around and making merry with their Moose and Squirrel Tour at the Seahorse. Sunday looks good at “The Barge” with James Moseley Dance Band. Lots more too, like Stephanie Teel Band at George’s on Fri., as well as Juke Joint Band at Pacheco, Sunnbolt Studios Jam, and Jamalicious at Broken Drum. Saturday daytime you’ll find us at TREK WINERY’s Grand Opening Celebration—come
on down!
TREK WINERY Grand Opening on Saturday, Sept. 8, daytime. 1026 Machin Ave. (a block from Redwood,
corner of Sweetser), Downtown Novato. Come see and taste at this fabulous new
