SHOUTOUTS/ What Happened last week …
Thursday the Legion of Honor with lovely Laura, darling daughter, for the “High Style” fashion exhibit on loan from the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection.  Of course, this is her milieu, and she dressed in one of her fabulous creations a la Dior, with a self-made stunning hat as well.  We were accosted as soon as we arrived, before we even entered the building, by a lovely group of young women visiting from Beijing.  They were so entranced with Laura, and had to have multiple photos with us and their group of 10 or 12.  This was a mere precursor to the attention that followed us throughout the afternoon.  I love interacting with strangers, and Laura was very gracious.  It was our little movie!
Friday I spent time with friends at our community Pub, but didn’t get out to dance.  Perhaps that was wise, so that I was rested for what was to come on Saturday and Sunday!
Saturday JAMES MOSELEY Dance Band!!!  What can I say about the band that got me going in 2008 -- and I haven’t stopped since.  I LOVE YOU GUYS and GALS!!  Thanks for an awesome party at the Seahorse!!  And thanks to all you friends who helped me celebrate J
Sunday Foreverland at Belvedere.  Love that Michael Jackson …  After that, ended up exploring with  tour guide Larry—to places I’d never been: we found The Armory, scouted the territory, checked out Bucks Landing, toured Max’s Pig ‘n’ Pie food truck (he parks it there).  Immaculate!  He was preparing what looked like 100 pounds of meat for the smoker for the next day.  I yelped, and found that everyone is crazy about this man and his food.  I’m not a big meat eater, but look forward to tasting when I see his truck out & about.  And Big Red of Bucks Landing … I’ll post a photo later.
Tuesday evening: I’ll See You in My Dreams with Laura Mae.  People have told me over the years that I remind them of Blythe Danner – so at the conclusion of the film (which I quite enjoyed, bittersweet), I asked Laura if there was some resemblance.  Her response:  “Are you kidding?  She’s calm, you’re manic.”  And there we have it, from my daughter, who should know LOL!

Wednesday is here!  YAY, my really Birthday!
Fenix Ladies Night, Motown celebration – hope you can be there!  After that will go to Peri’s for the TwangFest with The Treble Makers Frank, Jeb, Kevin, Eric, and Lloyd!—and a host of musical guests, no doubt.

The rest of the week:
Thursday heading for the Sonoma Marin Fair for the Beach Boys.
But if you’re staying around Marin – there’s the incomparable MOJO RISING playing at Marin Art & Garden Center.
Friday: a wealth of early evening music … another chance to catch MOJO RISING—at Tam Valley Creekside; as well as Salsa at Pacheco Plaza; and Go By Ocean at Marinwood.

To tell the truth, I have no idea at this moment what the weekend will bring, musically-speaking.  Let the good times unfold! ♫♫♪
