Music Fun Week of May 22

UPDATES in RED—scroll down for ‘em.
It IS a beautiful day.  I hope that each of you knows that you are loved …

There’s something in the air, in the cosmos:  it’s not officially summer, but the vibe is here.  Planetary events catching our attention …

It’s been a fabulous week for zydeco dancing—and will continue tonight with the Flames at Ashkenaz. Also for Mad Men parties and Sun Kings Beatlemania.  This week I’ll be steering my vessel to the Rancho for James Moseley Band, and the PYC for THE TICKETS BAND; to downtown Larkspur for the Food & Flower Fest—and plenty of music; and Memorial Day on the Green in Mill Valley with Tommy & Danny & the 85s.  Outdoor music beckons!

***Had the pleasure today of lunch at the Seahorse: Mauro still offers an $8 Blue Plate Lunch Special from Mon. thru Fri. – and it was fantastic! ***

I know there will be Updates this week, so check back during the week.  And get out there and dance!! ♫♪

If you haven’t already, please bookmark this website, and check back regularly:  www.ellenjanesmusic.com

And remember to TIP our wonderful and talented MUSICIANS!  Also please support all the gracious venues that support MUSIC.

Music Fun Week of May 15

[Anything in red is an Update, added since the Tuesday post.]

The Sun is Up,
The Sky is Blue,
It’s Beautiful,
And so are you!

Did you have a Happy Mother’s Day?  I did.  Blessings to all you Mothers out there!
Please make some time and read daughter Laura’s blog post of today for some smiles:  http://lilacsandlace.blogspot.com/2012/05/lucy-youve-got-some-splainin-to-do.html#comment-form
And go to her blog lilacsandlace.blogspot.com every chance you get for humorous and stunning takes on vintage fashion.

The Summer Music scene is underway! Happy I was able to cross the bridge to the deYoung on Fri. nite for Cynthia Glinka’s dance extravaganza with the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra.  Then Sat. some great dancin’ on the street with Revolver friends, and Jonny Darlin oldies—but goodies.  And Doc Kraft Band did not disappoint at the PYC.  Lots of Cajun/zydeco comin’ up for me, so I’ll be crossing more bridges.  Big grin—man, am I lucky!

Check out my Mark Your Calendars below for some amazing upcoming events!  And get out there and dance!! ♫♪
