Music Fun Week of May 15

[Anything in red is an Update, added since the Tuesday post.]

The Sun is Up,
The Sky is Blue,
It’s Beautiful,
And so are you!

Did you have a Happy Mother’s Day?  I did.  Blessings to all you Mothers out there!
Please make some time and read daughter Laura’s blog post of today for some smiles:  http://lilacsandlace.blogspot.com/2012/05/lucy-youve-got-some-splainin-to-do.html#comment-form
And go to her blog lilacsandlace.blogspot.com every chance you get for humorous and stunning takes on vintage fashion.

The Summer Music scene is underway! Happy I was able to cross the bridge to the deYoung on Fri. nite for Cynthia Glinka’s dance extravaganza with the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra.  Then Sat. some great dancin’ on the street with Revolver friends, and Jonny Darlin oldies—but goodies.  And Doc Kraft Band did not disappoint at the PYC.  Lots of Cajun/zydeco comin’ up for me, so I’ll be crossing more bridges.  Big grin—man, am I lucky!

Check out my Mark Your Calendars below for some amazing upcoming events!  And get out there and dance!! ♫♪

Music Fun Week of May 8

UPDATES in RED added as week goes on, for your entertainment pleasure—scroll down & check ‘em out below……   [if you haven't noticed, most of what is bolded or in another color is a link for the venue or musician.]

Was the Moon Full enough for you??  It certainly was for me … so much more than amazing.

Our Marin Symphony concert on Sunday, “Beethoven and the Bridge”, was a phenomenal success!
This is the last program of the season, and you have one more chance to catch it today, Tuesday.  Call the Marin Center Box Office 415-499-6800 to purchase tickets for tonite’s performance (6:30 pre-talk, 7:30 concert). Or just show up and buy tickets ($29, $54, $70) – there are a few left!

I’m on a mission to do everything that must be done before I leave for tonight’s performance (!), so suffice it to say that the just-passed Sunnbolt 1st Friday Jam was the best ever, and Cinco de Mayo at the Rancho with The Tickets Band was a fabulous treat!
I don’t even have an inkling of what I’m doing, where I’ll be this weekend—but after tonight, I’ll get on that.  Look for more UPDATES to this post toward the weekend. ♫♪

Marin Open Studios  1st two weekends in May, from 11am-6pm. 250 Marin artists open their studios to the public!  See link for more info.  And Corte Madera Town Center #328: Exhibition will be open for 3 weeks.

If you haven’t already, please bookmark this website, and check back regularly:  www.ellenjanesmusic.com
