UPDATES in RED
I’m home from Philadelphia, but my head is still spinning and split between here and there.  Trying my best to juggle my brother’s life and my own, and I fear there are lots of bits falling by the wayside.  This blog is one of those bits – so I’m attempting to get past all the distractions and some writer’s block and communicate with you all!  Brother Jay faces many challenges, and me along with him—but for now I will focus my energy on the positive.  Carlos and I escaped Philadelphia 3 days before they shut the airport; the foundation of which Jay is a client got power back today; and he is safe.  Hooray!

Upon our return, we were ready to kick up our heels big-time, and had the pleasure of partying with Elliott’s Evil Plan at the Presidio Yacht Club on Friday night. Though we did not arrive until almost midnight, they socked it to us for another hour & a half. Then on Saturday night we went the distance at George’s with Rudy Colombini and the Unauthorized Rolling Stones—and we rolled right along with them.  Just what I needed for some R&R after an intense Philadelphia experience!
On Sunday Laura & I attended the Marin Symphony opening concert of the season Viva Italia!, as well as the Gala following.  We returned on Tuesday with Carlos for a repeat of the entire extraordinary concert. If you had the good fortune to attend, I am sure you agree that this was a dynamic opening to their season.

Monday night I returned to rehearsals for our upcoming Marin Symphony Chamber Singers CandlelightConcerts on December 1 & 2—you’ll be hearing more about that.
After all this activity, and the travel, kicked back last night and did not make it out for Halloween!

Hope to be back in the swing for this weekend.  Looking at Peri’s on Friday for some Frank Bohan, Lloyd Meadows & Timm Walker of Zydeco Flames, along with Bonnie Hayes & others.  There’s also the Sunnbolt Jam … On Saturday will likely get our funky on with the James Moseley Dance Band at Seahorse.  There’s also a big fundraiser at the Fairfax Pavilion that Cathey Cotton & Elliott’s Evil Plan are a big part of, so you know the house will rock!

I’m missing TREK WINERY.  Have you been by lately?  Perhaps we’ll have an opportunity to stop there this weekend.  1026 Machin Ave. Novato is the place to be.

Please take a look at all the listings and details that follow♫♪♫♪
