UPDATES in RED (I continue to add through Friday)

MAGIC is All Around You! Just open your eyes, and your heart …
Another rather awe-inspiring week of music just passed, with a
Wednesday evening at Iron Springs Pub
for some upbeat music from the Rowan
Brothers—Lorin & Chris—along with Brazilian guitarist Jose Neto. On Thursday Carlos & I took in a show at Ross Valley Players: “You Can’t Take It
With You”. I don’t get to the theatre very often any more, as live music
and dancing has taken its place. But I was inspired to see this show because I
performed in it, at this same theatre, over 30 years ago, and know the actress
who played the same part. Lots of fun, and almost all the lines came back to
me!
Friday found us at SUNNBOLT
Studios for their 1st
Friday Jam—a tradition for us, as that’s the place Carlos first joined me, the evening
we first conversed. It was to be our first stop, on the way to George’s for the DJ party, and then
possibly on to Fairfax for Danny Click and/or The Overcommitments—but the musicians were so freakin’ awesome that we
stayed and put the party to bed. Never know what to expect at Sunnbolt, but Knut & Beth are
always fun hosts.
On Saturday I was
happy to bring Carlos to a yearly party hosted by a long-time friend, and we
had to tear ourselves away by 10:30 to make it to the Unauthorized Rolling Stones show at the Sweetwater. Would have hated
to miss this one—Rudy Colombini and
the Boys really know how to entertain the troops. Amazing talent, Wild and
Crazy, just how I like it! ;-)
On Sunday we
stumbled upon a wonderful little Art Show right here in our Community! More to come, I’m hopin’.
For the Upcoming
week: Tonight at Panama Hotel for some James
Moseley; Wednesday the Ray Simpson
Big Band Dance. Friday is as yet
undecided, though Ghosts of Electricity
at Hopmonk is tempting. Must not forget
to turn on the tube before bed for the first showing of the Sunnbolt Ahoha Party with Doc Kraft from Nov. 24. Saturday night is reserved for the San Francisco Music Club and Lumanation at George’s! On Sunday evening,
if we’re lucky, might get over to Rickey’s
for Thirteen Strings—James Moseley & Alex Markels. So much
to enjoy! ♫♪♫
