Note to self: Don't worry, be
Happy! ♫♪
Feeling better already!
Shoutouts for last week:
Friday at George’s
for the incomparable Unauthorized
Rolling Stones – without Ken
Khristian’s fabulous channeling as Keith Richards. Sadly, Ken passed on Thursday ... another
reminder of our frailty and collective unknown fate(s) – and a reminder to look for the good
and to celebrate while we can. Sympathies to Ken's family and friends!
Carlos & I were lucky enough to start the evening at Fenix for Wall Street Band—OH MY! The joint was jumpin’, and I do mean dancin’
it up, with the talents of Ray Clement
and Rich Armstrong and their crew
On Saturday we caught the last hour of The Mighty Groove groovin’ along,
dancin’ it up in the Hopmonk Beer
Garden, then later that evening The Pulsators—and
yes, they do make us pulsate! Sorry to
miss Sugarfoot (only a 45 min.
set)—but heard they were fantastic!
The Sunday Mill
Valley Block Party put on by Larry
the Hat and Murphy Productions was funtabulous! Lots of tunes & grooves from Danny Click, James Nash, Lynn Asher, Tracy
Blackman, Lisa Kindred, Reckless in Vegas and many more—and a very
appreciative crowd! Carlos & I stuck
around and enjoyed the Ronnie Montrose
Tribute film at the Sweetwater
before heading back home up the 101.
Monday was a special day: Carlos’s birthday! The
weather app said 72 and sunny in Stinson,
so we headed out. But it was wrong. Beautiful at the Mountain Home Inn turnout,
but totally socked-in at the Beach.
However, we had a lovely picnic in the dunes, a long walk along the
shore, and plenty of seabirds and crashing surf. And a visit with an old friend who’s back at
the Beach after living there (as I did) in the 70s.
Wither will we wander? Of course, there’s Hardly Strictly in the City, the Film Festival here in Mill Valley, but plenty on my plate without those goodies, so I won’t be covering them.
Have to get down to the Presidio Yacht Club for The
Tickets Band live CD recording!
Thursday? Friday? There’s also Sunnbolt, Mitch Woods at Hopmonk, and
Lumanation at Peri’s. On Saturday it’ll be
a roll of the dice. Would love to head
out to Pt. Reyes Stn. and enjoy the great Eldon Brown & the High Heeled Preachers –
how funny is that?! We’ll see where we
land.
Enjoy your week! ♫♪♫♪
