News flash: tonite at Presidio Yacht Club, JOHNNY Z will be there on his wild guitar with DOC KRAFT Dance Band. See you there!
Hello Friends,
This past weekend I did not get to all the shows I intended, due
to a case of “Closet Collapse!” My
10-1/2 foot closet pole, held at either end (it turns out) by a single screw
through a plastic mount, gave way with a shudder! Carlos to the rescue! (It’s so nice to have a man around the house,
ooo ooo ♫♪).
So after partying on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, we
could not make it on Sunday to Unity,
nor Dynamo Jones at Magnolia Terrace,
nor Cathey Cotton & Elliott’s Evil
Plan at 19 Broadway. My apologies
for not being there! We slipped away to Sweetwater
though, for a couple of hours of Moonalice!
Where else did we dance?
I always like to tell you where I’ve been to express my appreciation and
admiration for all the musicians I’ve seen who move me (in more ways than ten!),
and the venues that keep it going. And so, thank you to Jamie Clark Band at Nourish this past Thursday; on Friday Los Boleros at Pacheco Plaza and Doc Kraft
Dance Band at McInnis. Saturday was Steve
Riley and the Mamou Playboys at the JCC,
then PETTY THEFT at George’s. Mercy me and I’m still alive
& kickin’. ♫♪
This week[end]? Fri. evening will find us at Northgate
for Contino, then on to PYC for Doc Kraft or else Sunnbolt
Jam.
On Saturday—oh boy!
Of course I have to be there for James
Moseley Band, but I also have to dance for Rudy
& URS, and The Tickets Band—and
what about Zydeco Flames and Mindy Canter and Brad Bann and … what’s
a poor girl to do??
Sunday … Lord
willing and the creek don’t rise, we’ll make it to Unity, and then toss a coin!
Our friends at George’s
Nightclub are continuing their great promotion: Celebrate your birthday there with a
show! Buy 5 tickets for friends, and the
6th one (for you) is a Comp!
They’ll also treat you to a bottle of champagne. Call for details and to book 415-226-0262.
