Marin Symphony Tonight for FREE [plus a few weekend events]

This is the Marin Symphony’s 60th Year!  The season-opening Concert—Viva Italia!—was on Sunday afternoon, and Laura and I happily attended.  We will return tonight for the full program as we had to leave at intermission to help with the Gala which followed the performance.

The program includes works by Rossini, Mendelssohn, and Respighi, as well as a world premiere by the Quartet San Francisco. The concert begins at 7:30, and there is a free pre-concert talk at 6:30.

You can buy one ticket and receive another for FREE, simply by showing up at the Marin Center Box Office tonight after 6:15pm. Ticket prices begin at $29.
If you don’t have tickets yet, buy one ticket and get another one for FREE*

If you already have single or subscriber tickets, you can bring friends for FREE too (one for every individual Viva Italia! ticket you have)!*

Please attend and help support a Marin treasure … hope to see some of you tonight.

My normal post of Music Fun events will hopefully be up late tomorrow.
In the meantime, here are a few gigs I know about:

Fri. 11/2 Presidio Yacht Club : The 7th Sons
Sat. 11/3 James Moseley Dance Band at the Seahorse
Sat. 11/3 George’s:  Miles Schon Band
Sat. 11/3 Fairfax Pavilion, 3-11pm: Benefit for Ryder Morford, an 11-year old with Leukemia, with many musical acts including Elliott’s Evil Plan, Tommy Odetto Trio, comedian Arj Barker, and more.  For info http://www.bombshellsandrockstars.com/ryder/

Love, Gratitude, and Peace,
